International Week, Clubs’ Day, Benefit Concert, and so much more… March 31, 2008

Hello everyone,

Hopefully everyone knows this week is International Week and that there will be activities held in the quad everyday during brunch and lunch so be sure to check it out. (For more information scroll down a couple posts :D)

Friday is Clubs’ Day (not farmer’s market) so bring $$$.

I am sure everyone has heard of Kenya Dream, the amazing project the class of 2010 has taken on to raise up to $100,000 for the Nthimbiri Secondary School in rural Kenya. In order to accomplish this the class of 2010 has been working tirelessly to fundraise and have already raised a few thousand. This weekend Kenya Dream is hosting a Benefit Concert featuring the San Jose Youth Symphony.

Junior Prom tickets will be sold in the quad during brunch and lunch until Tuesday April 22nd! Don’t miss your opportunity as prices will increase each week by 5 dollars (singles) and 10 dollars (couples).

Upcoming Events: International Week March 24, 2008

Hey guys,

Hmm last week was pretty intense with all four classes on the field vying for the spot of Powderpuff Champions! We want to congratulate all the classes for being so spirited and such good sports. We especially want to congratulate the Sophomore class of 2010 and the Senior class of 2008.

This was our first time doing Powderpuff in quite a few years, so please leave us some suggestions for improvements and comments on what went well, what didn’t, etc.

Don’t fret though, the fun isn’t over! Next week is International Week!

The schedule for brunch time activities:

Tuesday: Desi club will be performing one of their unique dances

Wednesday: Spanish Honor Society will Salsaaaa

Thursday: International Fashion Show. Walk down the runway in your country’s unique clothing :D

Hope you all had a nice, relaxing three day weekend!

So a little update for this week: football PowderPuff Football

Come out to the practice field at lunch every day this week for our first PowderPuff tournament. Tomorrow (wednesday) we have the Seniors versus the Sophomores and thursday we have the consolation game. Friday will be the championship game, so come out and support your class!!!

Also, Thursday night is opening night for theseuss PowderPuff Football! Don’t miss this is amazing show. There will be shows on Friday of this week, and thursday, friday, and saturday of next week, so mark your calendars!

On another note, we have finally come to realize that only handful of you guys read this blog, so we want to reward you!

Check this blog every Monday for regular updates and a chance to win free stuff (namely starbucks and Chipotle PowderPuff Footballgiftcards). More information will be provided soon.

Lastly, leaveee some love (in the form of comments), please!

Hello dearies,

How did you like stress free week? I know a lot of you were still stressed out but hopefully the games, the dance, and the entertainment helped a little. Honestly, we’ve never done anything like that before, so leave us a comment and tell us what you liked, what you didn’t like, what you’d want to see next year, etc. :D

On another note, two weeks until break!! And a couple of events planned for between now and then.

This Friday, we have our first ever HEALTHY Club’s day! but done let the “healthy” throw you off…there’s gonna be some prettty delicious selections in the quad this Friday. So be there!

Next Thursday is Valentine’s Day :) Choir will be giving their serenades and ASB will have hearts posted up all over the quad with every CHS student’s name on it. So come out that day and find your heart.

Don’t forget to say ‘I love you’ :D
