I’m Karen Hou, one of your new ASB Historians. I’ll be working with Eartha Arandia and Nicholas Bell to manage this site as well as photos, videos, and all that cool tech-y stuff you see going on at rallies and such.

As many of you know, this year will be Cupertino’s 50th anniversary! That’s going to be our theme for this year, and there will be a lot of celebration going on. Stay tuned for updates!

Summer is (unfortunately) coming to an end, but there’s still so many things to do before school starts. Be sure to go to Pioneer Days to get everything done! Check the Major Events page or the CHS home page (chs.fuhsd.org) for more details.

Slowly but surely, we’ll make sure to get everything on the Tino ASB blog updated. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, anything you want to see, etc.

Whether you’re single, dating, or “it’s complicated,” ASB has some events planned for you next Thursday, February 14, to get you in on the action!

We will have Speed Dating during brunch in the quad along with the chance to Win a Date with a Senior during lunch! Don’t forget to also grab the heart with your name on it off of the wall! Maybe you could even give it to that special someone?

We hope you all got through your finals relatively unscathed. To recover from the traumatizing experience of testing, we have some great events planned.

First up, this Friday is School Colors Day, so represent Tino by wearing red and yellow! It will also be the Monta Vista IDC Exchange, so those of you who are going to be away, see you next week for our next big event!

Starting next week, and lasting the entire week, we will be having STRESS FREE WEEK! Look forward to many fun events, starting with Monday, where we will have MEGA iPod Wars during Brunch and the ULTIMATE TWISTER tournament during lunch! We hope to see you all out there!

As promised, we’ve got a ton of events to keep you happy next semester. Here’s a quick overview of what’s ahead:

January 25: School Colors Day and the Monta Vista IDC exchange. Show some school pride and wear your colors.

Week of January 28: Stress Free Week! We’ve decided to kick of the semester stress free, so come in the quad for everday during brunch for some carefree fun. (:

February 1: Basketball Quad Game

February 8: (Healthy) Winter Clubs Day

February 14: Valentine’s Day! We’ll be spreading some love on campus with Speed Dating and a chance to win a date with a senior and don’t forget about Choir and their serenades.

Week of February 18: WINTER BREAK!!!

Also, ASB will be presenting CHS Highlights 2007 next Wednesday during lunch in the gym! Come and see pictures and video from the major events we have held so far, such as Friday Fundays, Dances, and Homecoming!

The freshmen will be taking a trip to New York City while the sophomores will be hitting the slopes in the Swiss Alps. Juniors will be taking a well-deserved break in Mexico and the seniors will be at one of the happiest place on Earth, Disneyworld!

Come support your class at the rally or even help paint after school! Take this chance to show your spirit!

There will be a senate meeting tomorrow during tutorial! It is your duty to come and represent your class, so if you cannot make it, be sure to send a replacement!

There will be an ICC meeting this Thursday during tutorial in the theatre. All club presidents should come to hear some important announcements!

Also, there will be a fundraiser for IDC this Wednesday at Fresh Choice! Come and eat out to support our efforts to impove the cafeteria! About 15% of profits will go to our cause!

There are only three weeks of school left before winter break! Exciting, no?

For the next two weeks Cupertino is collecting canned foods for our annual Holidy Food Drive. Our goal is to donate 1500 pounds. Please help us by bringing canned foods to school and dropping them in the designated bins in either the wagon wheel, the office, or room 211! Thank you (:

Monday, December 3rd: Last day to buy winter formal tickets. You don’t want to miss out on the Unbelievable Masquerade…so buy your tickets TOMORROW!

Friday, December 14th: Winter Sports Rally. Don’t forget to help your class paint for their chosen winter vacation spot

Monday, December 17th: Blood Drive. If you are 16 years or older and would like to donate for the Blood Drive, find anyone and ASB and sign up. Remember one donation of blood can save up to four lives (:

Wednesday, December 19th: 2007 Year Highlights. Come to the gym to enjoy a video and picture montage of all the events of the 2007 year. More information will be provided soon.

Friday, December 21st: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

Celebrate the history of Cupertino High School this Friday, November 30, by wearing our school colors, red and gold. Also, come out to the quad during brunch on Friday to see an epic battle between the students and the teachers to see “How Much Do You Know About Tino?”Who will win? Show your support, this Friday, Friday, Friday! 

Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 20, is Fall Sports Awards Night at 7 pm.
All athletes must attend!
