National WALK TO SCHOOL Day is Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 7-9 am!!

We are encouraging students, teachers & staff to WALK or BIKE to school if possible. We are setting up SNACK STOPS in the outlying neighborhoods along the routes to school. Those sites will be advertised starting Monday, Oct. 1st.

If you check back here, I would like you to know I’ve brought up your comment with the ASB president and who I think are the right ASB commissioners to see if the booth is possible. Someone should contact you soon.

I am the PTA Chairperson for the National Walk to School Day set for Wednesday, October 3, 2007. We are encouraging students, teachers and staff to walk or bike to school if possible. We are setting up SNACK STOPS in the outlying neighborhoods along the routes to school. We are also working with Hyde and Sedgwick to make this a neighborhood event.

Would the ASB be interested in setting up a booth or stage in front of school with music/entertainment from 7-9am to assist in encouraging all to walk and socialize before school begins? We plan to hand out raffle tickets at the SNACK STOPS and we could even hand out the raffle prizes from your Booth or Stage.
